*sobs* may my little Gustav rest in piece. The last of my 3 initial hamsters are gone...

Kimchi, my pudding breed hamster was the first to go. I remember her slowly wasting away with age and getting very thin. She was the most troublesome of the lot, always giving the most problems like sickness, eye sores, fights, etc. But she too was a bundle of joy when she was at her peak. Most of the funny funny antics came from her. My mum cried the most when she went. It happened just before the beijing olympics.

Yuki, my winter white hamster followed a couple of months after. Age caught up to her as well and she had problems eating solid dry food. Had to feed her soft perishable food for a few weeks until her end. She was a dear little dignified thing, like a princess. I had tasted a fair share of her bites when i did things not to her liking.

Last but not least, Gustav, my winter normal hamster who just went a couple of hours ago. My bro found him lying not in his usual spot and i went to check. He was laid to rest forever. I was least expecting it to happen to him yet. Not with the pattern of the other 2 gradually going. I was prepared for them, but not for my macho Gustav.

Everything was just so normal for him. He was still so active when i washed his cage in the morning. He was the healthiest of the lot and was always climbing around the cage, and sleeping in his favourite spot in midair behind the wheel.

We found him lying at front of the cage opening. My bro and i concluded it was a freak accident. He must have fell and hit something while climbing and with his age, couldn't take the falls anymore. I was quite shocked over it.

Sigh, i dont know how my parents will take it tomorrow
They loved him dearly as well and it was so sudden. Life is so fragile when you think about it. One moment you are around but in a blink of an eye you might not be.

May my little son and daughters rest in peace.
